'Asmara' is the best African (Eritrean) restaurant you'll ever find. The decor is nothing special, the chef is never in a hurry, but boy will you love the food. And very cheap too! Real great!

Our favorite restaurant for ten years now. It never gets old. La Vallade is a little piece of France in Amsterdam, with amazing food. Go for the carte blanche 5 courses and be surprised! (Only 32,-)

You can see the flourishing herb garden of our neighbouring Italian restaurant from our roof terrace. And often you can smell their delicious food from our living room. 100% Italian and truly good.

We've never dared ourselves, but apparently one can just enter the super chic entrance of the Amstel Hotel, cross the beautiful lobby and enjoy a great high tea on the terrace at the back.
